These Terms of Service govern the use of the Open HR professional reference verification platform. By using our services, you accept these terms in full. This agreement is governed by UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.
Open HR provides a professional reference verification platform including:
- Secure collection of professional references
- Identity verification of candidates and referees
- RefScore generation, a professional reliability indicator
- Summary reports for employers
To use our services, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and up-to-date information
- Maintain the confidentiality of your credentials
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use
Prices are displayed inclusive of VAT for UK and EU users. Payment is processed via Stripe, our secure payment provider. All prices are in GBP unless otherwise stated.
In accordance with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have a 14-day period to exercise your right of withdrawal without having to justify reasons or pay penalties.

All platform content (text, logos, images, software, databases) is the exclusive property of Open HR or its partners. Unauthorised reproduction is prohibited.
We process your data in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. For more details, see our Privacy Policy. You can contact the ICO for any data protection concerns.
Open HR endeavours to ensure the reliability of its services but cannot guarantee their permanent availability. RefScore is a decision-support tool and does not constitute a hiring recommendation.
Open HR reserves the right to modify these terms. You will be notified of any significant changes. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
These terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, the courts of Paris shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
